Entrepreneurship has always been part of my family’s story.

In 1995, my parents, Mick and Sue Albin, had a concession trailer built to sell fresh-baked pretzels and fruit smoothies. What started at local flea markets quickly grew into traveling to festivals throughout the region. They were always looking for new ways to grow the business and create something special.

One weekend at Mountain Days in Eastwood Park, my dad decided to bring along our small backyard grill and try selling grilled pork chop sandwiches. The response was incredible. Before long, that little backyard grill couldn’t keep up with the demand. One grill became two, then three, and Blackjack Grill was born.

As word spread, our pork chops developed a loyal following, and we’ve been fortunate to serve customers who have returned year after year. We also continue to operate the pretzel side of our business, Pretzel Hut, at Dayton Oktoberfest, carrying on the tradition that started it all.

I grew up working alongside my parents, learning the value of hard work, dedication, and treating every customer like family. From an early age, I knew I wanted to continue what they had built.

When my parents decided to retire, my husband and I were honored to take over the business. Today, we remain committed to serving the same quality food, using the same recipes, and providing the same friendly service that our customers have come to expect.

We are incredibly proud of what Blackjack Grill has become, but none of it would be possible without the support of our loyal customers. Many of you have been with us for decades, and for that, we are truly grateful.
